Cop City

Privacy Policy

This shop collects as little as it can and still get a sweatshirt to your door. This page says exactly what that means.

Who runs this shop

This shop is operated by Redacted. For anything on this page, write to dmail@copcity.net

What we collect when you order

To take an order and ship it, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your shipping address, and your billing address if it differs
  • Your phone number, if you give one, which couriers sometimes need
  • What you ordered, in what size, and what you paid
  • Your IP address and browser details, recorded with the order for fraud screening

We do not ask for anything beyond this, and there is no newsletter signup collecting addresses in the background.

Payment

Card payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number is entered into a form served by Stripe and goes straight to them. It never touches this site, and we never see it or store it.

What comes back to us is the last four digits, the card brand, and whether the charge succeeded. If you pay through Apple Pay or Google Pay, that wallet also handles your card details directly.

Stripe processes this data under its own privacy policy, at stripe.com/privacy.

Printing and shipping

Items are printed and posted by Printful. To do that, we pass them your name, your shipping address, your phone number if you gave one, and the contents of your order. They need all of it to print the right thing and put it in the right post.

Printful also receives your postcode or country while you are still at checkout, so the shipping cost shown to you is the real one.

Printful processes this data under its own privacy policy, at printful.com/policies/privacy.

Email we send you

Ordering gets you an order confirmation, a shipping notice with tracking, and a reply if you write to us. That is all. We do not send marketing email, and we do not sell, rent, or pass your address to anyone who does.

Cookies

The shop sets a small number of cookies to work at all:

  • A cart cookie, so your basket survives moving between pages
  • A session cookie, so checkout knows which basket is yours
  • Cookies set by Stripe on the checkout page, used to detect fraud
  • Login cookies, only if you have an account and sign in
  • A Matomo cookie, set by us and readable only by us, that recognises a repeat visit so one person browsing twice is not counted as two

None of these follow you to other sites.

Analytics

We count visits with Matomo. It runs on our own server, not on anyone else’s. Nothing about your visit is sent to Google, to an advertising network, or to a social media platform, because no code from any of them runs on these pages.

Matomo records which pages you looked at, how long you stayed, the site that sent you here if any, your rough screen size, your browser and operating system, and your IP address.

Because this is a shop, it also records which products you viewed, what went into a cart, and, when an order completes, the order number, the items, and the total. This is how we tell which designs people actually want.

That data stays on our server. We do not sell it, share it, or hand it to a third party for advertising. Reports are kept for 180 days and then deleted.

Reviews

If you leave a review on a product, we store the review, the name you put on it, your email address, and your IP address. The review and the name are public. The email address and IP are not.

How long we keep things

Orders are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, which is several years. Carts that are never checked out are cleared after a few weeks. Email you send us is kept until the matter is closed.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to dmail@copcity.net and say which. We will answer within 30 days.

Deletion has one limit. Where an order is still inside the retention period required for tax purposes, we keep that record and delete everything else.

Children

This shop is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
